Who’s on Your #Gratitude List?

Say thank you to those who've made a difference in your life--it makes a difference to them.

Health professionals have been telling us that writing down what you’re thankful for can positively influence your health. I've been keeping a gratitude in my journal for a while now. And every morning when I wake up, I list three things I'm grateful for. It helps me to put my day into perspective, it reminds me of all that's good in the world (sometimes challenging these days!), and it prompts me to reflect on how many wonderful people are in my life. Simply put, it really does make me feel good. But what if there was a way to turn feeling good into doing good?

You can help improve lives, simply by sharing a simple and heartfelt “Thank You.”  Share it on your social media channels, in person, during your next Zoom call or even a hand-written note via snail mail.

And who are these people we can help out with our kind words? Perhaps they are in your own neighborhood. Take for example the Kinsman community in Cleveland, which is located in a food desert (which means it's hard to find affordable, healthy food in the neighborhood). United Way of Greater Cleveland works with Cornucopia Place there to prevent hunger and make sure kids have enough food to eat—healthy food that will help them to learn better in school and grow into strong adults.
